  • At one point, we crossed a river and lost sight of the trail. Looking upstream, we saw a bridge about half a mile away, with bright orange posts marking our route!
  • It took us 45 minutes of scaling boulders (with packs) and two deep-water crossings to reach the bridge, but we finally made it!
  • But after getting to the other side of the bridge, we realized there wasn't a trail... It's a trap! Apparently the bridge was part of a new route still under construction. It took us another 30 minutes to get down, by which time it was already 8PM.

  • We finally reached campsite at 11:30PM, where we promptly rented the last campsite still available for the night. This is the view we awoke to the next morning.
