  • To think that just 40 years ago, the water still ran clear... today, mass deforestation in Brazil has left the water of the Iguazu river silty and brownish green.

  • A guide told us that the ice advances a whopping 3m a day. Every so often as we watched, a seemingly small snowball of ice would break off and fall into the glacier, followed by a giant thunderclap-like sound a second or two later.
