A herd of guanacos!

A herd of guanacos!

• After arriving in Puerto Natales, we hired a driver to take us to Parque Nacional Torres del Paine.
• Our driver, who, even after a rockslide took off a finger, spoke of his love for the Patagonian mountains.
• A herd of guanacos!
• After arriving at Torres Del Paine at 5PM, we started for the first campsite.
• A mile into the trail, it already looks like paradise.
• 7:30PM. Rounding the top of a small mountain in the first leg of our W-shaped journey.
• Following the river down to the campsite.

• Crossing a super-sketch bridge (though this was hardly the worst...).
• We started on the trail again the next morning.
• Fuzzy!
• There are butterflies in Patagonia too!
• Another bridge! It was early spring in Patagonia, so there were little streams everywhere.
• Triple helix trees!
• Walking up to the Torres in the late morning.
• Steep slope of slippery stones!
• We kept walking, slipping on scree as we trekked past house-sized boulders, following the small orange splotches on the rocks that marked our path.
• And suddenly, just like that, the Torres were in front of us.
• View from our snack-spot.
